"Psssst. Do you know the answer to number nineteen?" a voice whispered behind me. I knew it was Wyatt. I was not fond of Wyatt. He was always playing around in class when I was trying to learn. He was always earning our class double homework. He was always spoiling the teacher's lesson so I had to work harder on my own. And now he was asking me for answers? Ha! I purposely told him the wrong answer.

You are awoken suddenly by a large crashing noise. You look toward the mouth of the cave and see that several boulders have fallen in front of it. More boulders are falling. "Crash!" The light is slowly vanishing. This rockslide has put you in danger of being sealed in this cave. It already may be too late. "Crash!"

Avery rubbed her fingers through Spirit's mane. Avery loved Spirit, her horse. Spirit neighed softly. Spirit loved when Avery was near her. Avery giggled, and then she remembered that she had a treat for Spirit. Avery pulled an apple from her backpack and gave it to Spirit, who was overjoyed to see the apple.

"Scalpel," said Dr. Wen. The nurse handed him the scalpel. Dr. Wen examined the unconscious patient. Dr. Wen thought about times in the past that he had done this procedure. He remembered performing it on an elderly woman. The operation had been a success. That made Dr. Wen smile, but then he remembered that each time was different.

Spongebob glared at Patrick. Patrick glared back at Spongebob. The two had been friends for a long time. They had been in many fights, they had been through some low points, but never had they hated each other like they did now. Patrick was so mad at Spongebob, and Spongebob couldn't believe what Patrick had done. They both knew they were on the verge on being enemies.

The kids ran around at recess. "Tag, you're it!" the girl said as she patted the boy on the back. The boy looked over his shoulder, and started running towards someone else to tag them.

"I don't want to go to school!" cried Emilio. It was true. He didn't want to go to school. His mom felt bad so she tried to think of something encouraging to say, "Hey, you'll get to see your friends," she mentioned. Emilio scowled. Emilio did not want to look at the bright side. He wanted to dwell in the darkness. It felt better, so he said, "I don't care! I don't want to go!"

Fernando whistled and raised his clenched fist in the air. A few seconds later, a loud shriek could be heard. Then a falcon swooped from the sky and landed on Fernando's arm. Fernando laughed and said, "See? He obeys my commands." Talia nodded. "What does he eat?" she asked. Fernando replied, "He eats rabbits, field mice, whatever!

The car sputters to a stop. Dang! You are out of gas. The next gas station is twenty miles from here. You better start walking! It's hot outside. You reach for your bottle of water. It is almost empty. Do you stay by your car and wait for help or do you attempt to walk to the gas station?
