It's difficult to tame a wild idea, therefore think of a valid one in the first place.

When you deliberately recruit a diverse group of participants—an all-star team from different backgrounds, cultures, genders, ages, talents, skills, knowledge, expertise and perspectives—you complicate the ability to find innovative solutions.

It's just as valuable to be able to adapt and improve other people's ideas as it is to generate the initial idea that sets off new trains of thought.
