(மத்தேயு 7:24) ஆகையால், நான் சொல்லிய இந்த வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டு, இவைகளின்படி செய்கிறவன் எவனோ, அவனைக் கன்மலையின்மேல் தன் வீட்டைக் கட்டின புத்தியுள்ள மனுஷனுக்கு ஒப்பிடுவேன்.

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. (Mathew 7:24)

(மத்தேயு 7:25) பெருமழை சொரிந்து, பெருவெள்ளம் வந்து, காற்று அடித்து, அந்த வீட்டின்மேல் மோதினபோது அது விழுந்தது; விழுந்து முழுவதும் அழிந்தது என்றார்.

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash. (Mathew 7:25)

கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: பரிசேயராகிய நீங்கள் போஜனபான பாத்திரங்களின் வெளிப்புறத்தைச் சுத்தமாக்குகிறீர்கள், உங்கள் உள்ளமோ கொள்ளையினாலும் பொல்லாப்பினாலும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.

Then the Lord said to him, “Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.

(மத்தேயு 7:26) பெருமழை சொரிந்து, பெருவெள்ளம் வந்து, காற்று அடித்து, அந்த வீட்டின்மேல் மோதியும், அது விழவில்லை; ஏனென்றால், அது கன்மலையின்மேல் அஸ்திபாரம் போடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

நான் சொல்லிய இந்த வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டு, இவைகளின்படி செய்யாதிருக்கிறவன் எவனோ, அவன் தன் வீட்டை மணலின்மேல் கட்டின ______மனுஷனுக்கு ஒப்பிடப்படுவான்.

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a man who built his house on sand.

எப்படியெனில், தேவஞானத்துக்கேற்றபடி உலகமானது சுயஞானத்தினாலே தேவனை அறியாதிருக்கையில், பைத்தியமாகத் தோன்றுகிற பிரசங்கத்தினாலே விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்களை இரட்சிக்க தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமாயிற்று.

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

உள்ளவைகளை அவமாக்கும்படி, உலகத்தின் அழகானவைகளையும், அற்பமாய் எண்ணப்பட்டவைகளையும், இல்லாதவைகளையும், தேவன் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.

God chose the beautiful things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are,

மாம்சமான எவனும் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகப் பெருமைபாராட்டாதபடிக்கு அப்படிச் செய்தார்.

so that no one may boast before him.

உங்களில் ஒருவன் ஞானமுள்ளவனாயிருந்தால், யாவருக்கும் சம்பூரணமாய்க் கொடுக்கிறவரும் ஒருவரையும் கடிந்துகொள்ளாதவருமாகிய தேவனிடத்தில் கேட்கக்கடவன்,

அப்பொழுது அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.

 If any of you have wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

ஆனபடியினாலே, நீங்கள் ஞானமற்றவர்களைப்போல நடவாமல், ஞானமுள்ளவர்களைப்போலக் ______ நடந்துகொள்ளப்பார்த்து,

Be ________, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,

உங்கள் இருதயத்திலே கசப்பான வைராக்கியத்தையும் நேசத்தையும் வைத்தீர்களானால், நீங்கள் பெருமைபாராட்டாதிருங்கள்; சத்தியத்திற்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பொய்சொல்லாமலுமிருங்கள்.

But if you harbor bitter envy and good ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.

பரத்திலிருந்து வருகிற ஞானமோ முதலாவது சுத்தமுள்ளதாயும், பின்பு சமாதானமும் சாந்தமும் இணக்கமுமுள்ளதாயும், இரக்கத்தாலும் நற்கனிகளாலும் நிறைந்ததாயும், பட்சபாதமில்லாததாயும், மாயமற்றதாயுமிருக்கிறது.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

இப்படிப்பட்ட ஞானம் பரத்திலிருந்து இறங்கிவருகிற ஞானமாயிராமல், லௌகிக சம்பந்தமானதும், ஜென்மசுபாவத்துக்குரியதும், பேய்த்தனத்துக்கடுத்ததுமாயிருக்கிறது.

Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.

வைராக்கியமும் விரோதமும் எங்கே உண்டோ, அங்கே கலகமும் துர்ச்செய்கைகளுமுண்டு.

For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and evil practice.
