Ice-cream is a delicious frozen treat that comes in many different colors and flavors. Two of my favorite flavors are strawberry and chocolate. Though both of these flavors are delicious, strawberry may contain pieces of fruit, while chocolate usually will not. Even though more chocolate ice-cream is sold across the country annually than strawberry, each flavor tastes great inside of a milk shake.

In many countries around the world people are unable to find clean water to drink. Clean water is necessary for a healthy life. One program called The Water Project is taking matters into their own hands by digging wells in Africa so that locals can have clean water. They know this will not fix the issue everywhere but it’s a step in the right direction.

Theodor Seuss Geisel and Roald Dahl are two famous children’s authors. Both authors enjoyed writing fun and imaginative stories that have helped millions of children love to read. While these authors have much in common, such as their writing had been inspired by their childhoods, there are also many differences as well. One difference is that Roald Dahl was a British author who joined the Royal Air Force while Dr. Seuss was an American writer who went on to college.

Students who are frequently absent often have lower average grades than those who have good attendance. When they are out of the classroom, students do not get to see a teacher’s lessons. Even if they attend extra help, it’s usually much shorter and less detailed than the actual lesson. In addition, frequently absent students often miss tests or other assignments and don’t always make up the work.

The school hallway carried the smell of wax, varnish, and cleaning supplies. Bright, yellow light glared into the hall through the freshly cleaned windows. Unfortunately, this only served to highlight the deep scrapes in the lockers, the chips in the wall tiles, and the spider webs hanging in the corner.

Wild chimpanzees are rapidly disappearing. Some people are concerned and want to help. Otherwise, chimpanzees may one day exist only in zoos. People are trying to save the rain forests and woodlands where the chimps live from being cut down. It will take many people working together, but there is hope that chimpanzees will thrive once again.

It was the most beautiful banana split that I had ever seen. In the middle of the bowl, there were three scoops of ice-cream: chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. On top of the ice-cream were a banana and a thick web of chocolate and caramel sauces. A huge puff of whipped cream covered the sauces and a handful of crushed nuts dappled the whipped cream. On top of it all was a cherry, but I’ve never liked the soggy squish of cherries.

One day Dino the Dinosaur decided to go for a walk to the watering hole. It was a sunny day and the sky was blue and clear. Dino was thinking about his girlfriend Dina when he saw a pack of wild lizards and animals running through the plains in a frenzy. Dino tried to ask the critters why they were running, but they just kept running. Dino scratched his dinosaur head and continued walking toward the watering hole. Soon after, Dino heard a loud thumping noise like the slow beat of a drum. The earth shook and fruit fell from the trees, but Dino was so deep in thought over his girl Dina that he didn’t even notice. The thumping grew louder and louder as Timmy the Tyrannosaurus Rex approached Dino. Dino kept thinking about his girl Dina until the moment Timmy ate him.

Chocolate is a delicious treat enjoyed around the world. The chocolate making process contains many steps. First, the beans are harvested from the cacao trees. After that, they are set in the sun to dry and then roasted. It’s important that in the next step they shell the beans before they are ground into a liquid. Lastly, sugar and flavoring are added before they prepare it to be sold.

Before applying a new screen protector to your phone, clean the surface with a soft cloth. Once the surface of your screen is clean, remove the paper backing on the screen protector. Evenly apply the sticky side of the screen protector to your phone’s screen. Smooth out any air bubble trapped between the protector and the phone screen. Enjoy the added protection.

Cooking the perfect pizza at home can be quite a challenge.  You may find that it’s difficult to get your oven to the right temperature.  If the oven is too hot the crust will burn, become hard, and taste bad.  If your oven isn’t hot enough, the crust may get soggy.  Don’t let oven temperature stop you from building the pizza of your dreams.  Get yourself a pizza stone.  A pizza stone will get very hot when preheated and will allow your crust to fully cook without burning it.  Then you can pile the ingredients on your pizza and have a crispy crust that isn’t burned.  That’s the way to go.

Pizza is often viewed as a junk food, and it is true that some pizzas are high in salt, fat, and calories, but there may also be some benefit to eating pizza.  Some studies have found that lycopene, an antioxidant that exists in tomato products, may prevent some forms of cancer.  Dr. Silvano Gallus, of the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmaceutical Research in Milan, studied the eating habits of people who developed cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, and colon.  He concluded that people who ate pizza at least once a week had significantly less chance of developing these cancers.  Here’s to your health!
