PROMOTIONS AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS -

Individually, you are required to host a minimum of 3 BCT’s per week. SDS are required to host a minimum of 2 BCTs and an additional 2 supervisions per week. Failure to do so will result in a strike being given. Once you have reached three strikes, you will be discharged. As an entire brigade, we also have a Brigade Goal of 100 BCTs every day.

Strikes can be given for a few reasons besides the ones above. Primarily, they are due to misconduct reports, whether that be from the discord or while on base. Strikes are also given out due to consistent inability to follow rules in 108th Training Brigade or TRADOC.

Strikes will last for 2 weeks and can not be retracted. You must wait the full 2 weeks until the strike can be removed.

Junior Drill Sergeants are required to be supervised by a Senior Drill Sergeant or Drill Sergeant within 10 days of their promotion in order to become a Drill Sergeant. To pass they must get a 70%+ on their supervision. Junior Drill Sergeants who fail to pass a supervision in 7 days will receive a DD. 

Drill Sergeants who have 10+ BCTs hosted are eligible for the supervisor role and can supervise Junior Drill Sergeants. Once they reach 10 BCTs hosted, Company Staff will request the supervisor role for them. Drill Sergeants with the supervisor role are only permitted to supervise Junior Drill Sergeants.

Senior Drill Sergeants are in charge of supervising both Drill Sergeants and Junior Drill Sergeants.
In order to be promoted to Senior Drill Sergeant, you must meet the following; 

- Total of 12 BCT hosted.
- 1 week clear of misconduct.
- Served in the 165th Infantry Brigade for a minimum of 1 week.
- Scored 80%+ on a supervised BCT during your time as a candidate.
- Within a detachment/company.

You must have no history of misconduct 1 week prior to becoming an SDS candidate and as your time serving as an SDS candidate. Records of misconduct within 1 week will result in you not being promoted.

Senior Drill Sergeants are required to supervise at least 1 BCT that is hosted by Drill Sergeants and 1 that is hosted by a Junior Drill Sergeant per week. SDS’s that fail to meet their quota two times consecutively will receive a demotion. Logs for the supervisions can be posted in #supervision-reports and should follow the format given. Information you can include can be what the Drill Sergeant can improve on, what they did good, and what they did poorly.
