Ashley was so excited to get to the big game, she forgot to grab her water bottle on the kitchen counter. This became a real problem during the game when she became incredibly thirsty. Luckily for her, a teammate handed her an extra water bottle. What a relief!

Liam and Caleb each played basketball on a different team. Both teams had winning records and played games every Tuesday.

Liam’s team, however, wore green uniforms while Caleb’s team wore blue uniforms. The teams also had different mascots and ran different kinds of offensive plays.

Macey was so excited! She had just received a brand-new pair of basketball sneakers that she had been wanting for so long. She hurried and put them on and ran out the door without checking the weather. Halfway to the gym, rain began to fall. Before she knew it, her new sneakers were soaking wet.

As Jamal was walking to practice, he dribbled the basketball on the sidewalk. He didn’t notice the large hole in the sidewalk, and the ball went sideways into the street. A car tried to stop, but it ran over the ball. As a result, the ball was flattened.

Latisha and Grace were both good basketball players. Both girls worked hard and were great teammates.

In some ways, the girls were different, though. Latisha was a quick player with great dribbling skills. Meanwhile, Grace was an amazing rebounder and made a lot of shots under the basket.

When learning to dribble a basketball, you must first remember to keep your head up and eyes on the game. Next, extend your arm downward and snap your wrist to send the ball onto the ground. Then use your fingers to control the ball. Finally, don’t bounce the ball too high while dribbling.

Cade had a problem. He wanted and needed a new basketball, but he had no money to buy one. He decided to mow the neighbors’ lawns in order to earn enough money to buy one. Before he knew it, he had saved enough money to get the new basketball!
