Fungi used to be considered as part of the plant kingdom, but they are though to be quite different.
The main of the fungus is a mass of tiny thread called mycelium. Fungi live on the other organic matter in the soil. Fungi are the most important agent in the breakdown of dead plant and animal material, recyvling it so that the plant can use the nutrients. Long, long ago, when the gods and goddesses used to mingle in affairs of mortals, there was a small kingdom on the slope of Mount Wayang in West Java. The King named sang Prabu, was a wise man.
