Johann Sebastian Bach was born in 1685, in Germany. A lot of his family members were also musicians. When he was nine, he moved to pive with his brother Cristoph, who taught Johann to play the harpsichord. He moved to Leipzig in 1723, and he became a music director. He was also a wonderful teacher, and lots of the songs he wrote were to help teach his students. He died in 1750.
