Dear Megan,
(1) I am having the best time on vacation! My mom and I are visiting my grandmother in boston, massachusetts. We are going to visit many fun places. We are going to explore the aquarium zoo and science museum. Remember when we went to the library before I left? I check out the book, a child's guide to visiting Boston. This book has been very helpful on our vacation. Last week we took a road trip.
(2) I went to West Dennis Massachusetts. We stayed in a cottage a few blocks from the ocean. One day my mom drove my grandmother and I to the ice cream store. There were so many flavors to choose from. I had to decide between mint chip and chocolate chip. It was hard! I ended up choosing chocolate chip. Then we ate our ice cream all up. I didn't finish my ice cream so my mom will finish it for me. I knew their was too much ice cream for me. It was in a bowl even though I wanted it in a cone.
(3) We also went to the lobster festival. The lobster festival celebrates this crustacean and the fishermen who catch them. They have all kinds of food at the festival. We ate rolls chowder pie and even ice cream made from lobster!
(4) We visited my uncle who lives in Plymouth. We visited plymouth plantation. It was fun to see people dressed like Pilgrims. The people there pretend they are living like it is the 1600s. We also stoped by the Mayflower. I bought you a postcard. It is not the actual boat but one that they built to look like the original. I thought it would be larger.
(5) We are back at my grandmother's house now. Tomorrow we will go to an art festival. I am looking forward to seeing some interesting artists at work! I will write again!Your friend,
