Dato’ Nicol David was born on 26 August1983 in Penang. She is a Malaysian squash player

who has dominated the sport in the early 21st century and became the first to win eight World Open crowns. Her interest in squash started at the age of five. At the age of 13 years old, she reached the quarterfinals of the World Junior Squash Championships and two years later the young Dato’ Nicol David became the youngest woman to win the World Junior Championship.
