The original monument is actually small. It is located inside the big Monument. The monument consists of four iron wood poles, each with a diameter of about 0,30 metre, with frontage bollard height is two pieces as high as 3,05 radian place backside bollard and the sign post dart as high as 4,40 metres. Entering the room in the Equator Monument, visitors will see the photos displayed on the walls of this building. These photographs date from the 1930s to the present. In addition, there is also an explanation of the knowledge of the world of astronomy, such as data on the earth, solar system, stars, moon, sun and galaxies. Relief paintings depicting Pontianak City and the Equator Monument also adorn the walls in this building.

Every year, many tourist visit this monument. They are interested in watching an Important and amazing events around the Equator Monument names “Culmination”. This natural phenomenon happens when the sun is right on the equator.
