When you play in the snow, you should wear gloves, a hat, and a margle. You need the margle to keep your neck warm. I am lucky because my grandma knitted me a margle for my birthday. It has stripes on it and it is so warm! What do you think a margle is?

On Valentine’s Day, I made my mom a card with a bloggle in it. I cut the bloggle out of paper and decorated it with red glitter. At first, I did not know how to make a bloggle but then my sister showed me that you can draw one side of it on a folded piece of paper then you cut the bloggle out and then open it up. Voila! A near perfect bloggle! A perfect bloggle has symmetry on both sides. What do you think a bloggle is?

A lot of people think it is weird that I do not like malabling. On holidays like Halloween or Valentine’s Day, there is so much malabling around me but I don’t touch it because I prefer sour candy. My brother loves malabling though. One time he left a piece in his pants pocket and it melted. The worst part is, he still ate it! What do you think malabling is?

Today is the perfect day to go to the beach. “Don’t forget the oosby” said my mom. “Ugg” I grumbled. I can’t stand putting oosby on because it always gets into my eyes and stings. My mom must have known what I was thinking because then she asked, “putting on the oosby is better than a sunburn isn’t it?” She is right about that. What do you think oosby is?

Last summer, Maggie learned how to hitsy when she went to the beach on summer vacation with her family. She saved up her money to pay for hitsy lessons and she rented a hitsy board and a wetsuit. Her teacher helped her swim out into the ocean. It took many, many tries but she finally caught a wave and was standing up on her hitsy board and rode the ocean wave! What do you think hitsy is?

Every summer, my sister and I make a glomtaid stand. We sell our ice cold glomtaid to the people in our neighborhood for 25 cents per cup. Our recipe for each cup of glomtaid is one sour glom, two teaspoons of sugar, and a handful of ice cubes. The best types of glom are the big yellow ones from the grocery store. In the cold winter it is hard to remember how hot it can be in the summer! Every summer we go to my grandmother’s house. It is so hot where she lives! The worst part is that she doesn’t have any dudetie at her house. This makes it really hard to cool off. Instead of glibbing, she has a fan which helps a little bit. Thankfully, she has dudetie in the car. When I get in her car, she lets me turn the dudetie up full blast and let it blow ice cold air on my face. It feels so good after being so hot! My favorite summer food is happlance. My mom always helps me cut open the green rind and slice up pieces of the refreshing red fruit. I don’t really like the black seeds so I spit them out.
