What is this author's point of view... Are the world's oceans polluted (contaminated)? This is a question many experts have asked. There are signs of pollution in our oceans, such as a large floating body (mass) of plastic and garbage in the Pacific Ocean. There have also been oil (petroleum) spills around the world that have caused harm. However, I don't feel like these issues (problems) have hurt the oceans to the point of worry. I think all students should go to school year round (all year). As an educator, I see many students lose knowledge they have gained from the previous year over the summer. I also see that many students have a hard time getting back into a school routine when it begins again in the fall. I feel school should continue year round with more short breaks (vacation) for students in between.
