Last week Grandpa came to my house to visit. When he left, he gave me and each of my sisters two dollars. "Buy something you like with your money," said Grandpa.

My three sisters and I talked about what we could buy with our money. "I want something sweet," said my little sister. "I will buy gum." "I want something to play with," said my older sister. "I will buy stickers." "I want something to do," said my oldest sister. "I will rent a movie."

Mom said those were all good ideas. Today after school, Mom told us some sad news. "Grandpa is feeling lonely today. What could we do to help him?"

My sisters and I felt sad for Grandpa. We did not want him to feel lonely. Then I remembered that we hadn't spent our money yet. I told my sisters I had an idea.

We called Grandpa and told him to put on his coat and hat and shoes. We told him to walk to the end of his block at four o'clock and wait for a ride.

Soon it was four fifteen. We looked out our window, and there was Grandpa. My sisters and I ran out to meet him.

"Grandpa, you made it!" we yelled as we hugged Grandpa. "We put our money together to buy you a cab ride. Now you are here with us!"

That day we all got something we wanted with our money. We got Grandpa.
