Cendrawasihs or the birds of paradise are from the family of Paradisaeidae. These birds are easily recognized by their bright blue, yellow, scarlet, and green feathers. The males’ tails are longer than the females’. Their tails are known as wires or streamers. Birds of Paradise live in Eastern Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Eastern Australia. The diet of these birds are fruits and arthropods. The natural devastation and illegal hunting make Cenderawasih an endangered species. Their reproduction cycle also makes the preservation diicult as they only produce one until two eggs.
What is a primary reason that the reproductive cycle of Birds of Paradise complicates their conservation efforts?
They produce a large number of eggs, leading to overpopulation.
They have a low reproductive output, laying only one to two eggs per clutch.
Their eggs are frequently stolen by predators, reducing population growth.
Their mating displays require large habitats, which are difficult to preserve.

What does the text tell us about?
The proboscis monkey, scientifically known as Nasalis larvatus, is a unique primate species native to the island of Borneo. It is easily recognizable due to its most prominent feature: a large fleshy nose, particularly prominent in males. This distinctive nose is not just for show; it acts as a resonator, enhancing the monkey's vocalizations and potentially playing a role in attracting mates.
Proboscis monkeys primarily inhabit mangrove forests, swamps, and coastal forests. They are adept swimmers and climbers, often traversing rivers and waterways to find food or escape predators. Their range extends across Borneo, including areas in Kalimantan, and they are often found near riverbanks and estuaries.
