What does Faith seek?

What does science seek?

Since the Catholic Church teaches that faith & science have the same goals, what does that mean? 

Who came up with the 5 proofs of God's existence?

The 5 proofs are _______ arguments of God's existence.

Which proof is this: The entire universe is in motion, someone had to put it in motion.

Which proof is this:

Everything in existence was caused by something else and did not just appear out of thin air.

This is the cause and effect way in which the universe operates

Which proof is this:

There is a necessary being on which the existence of things is dependent.

( In other words, the reason the world hasn’t just vanished by now is because God, the one necessary being, continues to hold it in existence)

Which proof is this:

The world works in ordered ways, not chaos - consider gravity, magnetism, the weather systems, ect.

For all of this intelligent design to happen completely at random was impossible for St. Thomas to accept.

Which proof is this:

There is a scale of good, better, and best. This scale cannot go on infinitely.

Something has to be the standard by which we judge all other things.

So there must be something which is perfectly good, perfectly true, and perfectly beautiful.

That standard by which everything else is judged is God. 

Thomas Aquinas displays that arguments cannot go on for infinity, therefore there must exist.....

What does reason allow humanity to know about God

What does faith allow humanity to know about God

Reason and logic allow humanity to observe the world around us.

Can humanity understand the world around us perfectly?

The ability to reason, learn, and use logic is provided by God.
