I woke up early this morning. Even the soft rain could not dampen my excitement. I had been waiting for this day. The elephant team was coming with new books. I really hoped they would arrive today.
My family lives in a small village high in the mountains. The only way to get here is to walk up steep trails. During the rainy season, the ground gets slippery and there are mudslides. We do not have a school or a library, but we are fortunate because a team of elephants brings us books. The team stays for two or three days and teaches us reading and writing on metal slates.
