Apakah kita akan menghindari penderitaan, atau mencari kenyamanan?

Will we avoid suffering, or will we seek comfort?
우리는 고난을 피할 것인가, 아니면 위로를 구할 것인가?

Apakah kita akan menjadi pemimpin agama, atau tetap orang biasa?

Will we become religious leaders, or remain ordinary people?
우리는 종교 지도자가 될 것인가, 아니면 평범한 사람으로 남을 것인가?

Apakah kita akan memperoleh pengetahuan, atau pengaruh?

Will we gain knowledge, or gain influence?
우리는 지식을 얻을 것인가, 아니면 영향력을 얻을 것인가?

Mereka tidak mengenal siapa Yesus itu.

They did not know who Jesus was.
그들은 예수님이 누구인지 몰랐기 때문이다.

Mereka terkesan tetapi tidak bertobat, menilai tetapi tidak belajar.

They were impressed but did not repent, and they evaluated but did not learn.
그들은 감탄했지만 회개하지 않았고, 평가했지만 배우지 않았기 때문이다.

Mereka kekurangan tradisi dan disiplin agama.

They lacked religious traditions and discipline.

Mereka bersikap bermusuhan secara politik terhadap Yesus.

They were politically hostile to Jesus.

To remove all effort and responsibility from life.
삶의 모든 수고와 책임을 없앤다는 뜻이다.

To gain more religious knowledge and authority.

Mengikuti aturan agama dengan lebih ketat dari sebelumnya.

To follow religious rules more strictly than before.
이전보다 종교 규칙을 더 엄격히 지키는 것이다.

Berjalan bersama Yesus dengan mengikuti arah dan prioritas-Nya, bukan memikul hidup sendirian.

To walk with Jesus, adopting His direction and priorities rather than carrying life alone.
혼자 짐을 지는 것이 아니라 예수님의 방향과 우선순위를 따라 함께 걷는 것이다.

주로 로마의 정치적 압제를 받는 사람들

Mereka tidak mengetahui hukum Sabat.

They did not know the Sabbath law.
안식일 규정을 몰랐기 때문이다.

Mereka lebih berfokus pada aturan daripada kebutuhan manusia.

They focused on rules rather than human need.
인간의 필요보다 규칙에 집중했기 때문이다.
