प्यासा कौआ (The Thirsty Crow)

एक बार एक कौआ बहुत प्यासा था।
Once a crow was very thirsty.

वह पानी की तलाश में इधर-उधर उड़ता रहा।
He flew here and there in search of water.

उसे एक घड़ा दिखाई दिया।
He saw a pot.

घड़े में थोड़ा सा पानी था।
There was a little water in the pot.

कौए की चोंच पानी तक नहीं पहुँच रही थी।
The crow’s beak could not reach the water.

उसने कुछ कंकड़ उठाकर घड़े में डाले।
He picked up some pebbles and dropped them into the pot.

पानी ऊपर आ गया।
The water came up.

कौए ने पानी पिया और उड़ गया।
The crow drank the water and flew away.
