1st Person Point of View

The narrator is a character, usually the main character. Uses “I” and “me.”

The story is told by a narrator who refers to the reader as “you.”

The story is told by a narrator who is not involved in the story. Refers to characters by name or by using the pronouns “he,” “she,” and “they.”

The narrator is outside of the story and tells only one character’s thoughts and feelings.

The narrator is outside of the story and tells only what can be observed. Does NOT know the thoughts or feelings of any characters.
