The Non-GMO Project (an independent group that is not part of our government.)

BUT!!!!!

If a food is certified "USDA Organic" then it also has to be Non-GMO (even if it doesn't have the Non-GMO Project Verified symbol.)

The USDA Organic symbol is more important. USDA Organic tells you that it is non-GMO, but non-GMO verified doesn't tell you if it is organic or not.
