Engineering Design Processes

A scientist who designs solutions to problems.

Solutions that meet wants and needs.

To ensure that a solution works.

Retesting often occurs because it takes many tries to get a working prototype.

A standard on which a judgment or decision is based.

An early model of a product used to test a concept.

A series of steps that engineers follow to come up with a solution to a problem.

A process where engineers generate a variety of ideas to solve a problem.

Limitations or restrictions that engineers must consider when designing solutions.

Feedback helps engineers improve their designs based on testing and user input.
