An inter vivous trust is a concept rooted in ancient times, that entails the act of an original registered owner entrusting his title to his land in the hands of a trustee, while the original registered owner left to fight in wars. This act was used to safeguard the property from external sanctions, until the crusader returned or was killed in which case the trustee had to transfer the title over to the crusader, or the people written in his will.
