1. Multiply the numerators straight across
2. Multiply the denominators straight across

RECIPROCALS!!

A reciprocal is simply when you flip a fraction upside down by exchanging the numerator and the denominator. This is used in dividing fractions.

How to find a reciprocal!!

1. Put the numerator where the denominator is
2. Put the denominator where the numerator is. 

THEN YOU CAN EASILY DIVIDE FRACTIONS!!

Dividing Fractions

  • The first fraction stays the same

  • The division sign changes to a multiplication sign

  • Take the reciprocal of the second fraction

  • Then treat it like a regular multiplication problem by multiplying straight across. 

  • Reduce or simplify the answer if needed
