What is a sentence?

A sentence is a group of words that:
1. Have a subject & a predicate (noun & verb)
2. Express a complete thought

What is a subject?

• A subject is a noun.

• A subject names the person, place, thing, animal or idea that the WHOLE sentence is about. (noun)
