What is the difference? 

What is DATA?  

Information and facts that can be collected to help people solve problems, understand trends or to simply entertain!  We will be reviewing two types of data: Categorical and Numerical.

This is data that has been collected and displayed.  What types of graphs do you recognize?  Why are graphs helpful?

What is categorical data?

 A collection of data that can be put into categories or groups.  Such as.......

 Breeds of Dogs!

OR.....

Genres of books!

What is numerical data

These data are expressed in number form, (NOT words or letters), such as......

Your height! (How tall you are.)

OR...

Time spent walking!
