Learn about where punctuations are placed and used.

How many punctuation marks are there? 

There are 6 punctuation marks.  Let's get to know them in the next slide. 

The 6 punctuation marks are-

• Period/Full Stop

• Comma

• Question Mark

• Quotation Mark

• Apostrophe

• Exclamatory Mark
  

We will only learn the first three punctuation marks.

1. Full Stop

Full stop is represented as a dot.  It is used at the end of the sentence. For example-
             The dove is very ugly.

Now, let's see if you uderstood the concept.

2. Comma

Comma is represented as a small slash. Like this- , .  Comma is used when we are using 3 or more than 3.  For eg:

       Sammy, Anaya, Averi, Kanal, Konal and I are going out to play.

3. Question mark

Question mark is used when we are asking a question. For eg:-

When does your birthday come?
