  • Promotion- Advertising, sales promotion and publicity.

  • Pricing mix- Determining the right price to charge for your product or service.

  • Place- Where will you sell your product?

Product life cycle (Traditional 4 stages)

  • Introduction- A new product is introduced into the marketplace.

  • Growth- More and more people purchase the product and begin to use it.

  • Maturity- This is the period when sales of a product increase more slowly. The product or service 

  • Decline- As profits decrease, the company must decide to change the product or how they are marketing it to increase sales.

Product Life Cycle(Non-Traditional)

  • Fad-A fad is a product, service or idea that is extremely poplar for a very brief period of time.

  • Niche- A small section of a regular market( Sales remain relatively consistent with a small group of customers.

  • Seasonal- Seasonal products and services have periods of high and then low demand. Sales would peak in the Summer(July and August) and they would have very few or no sales in the winter.
