Frame of Reference Basics and Example

Relative Motion Rule:  Part of Frame of Reference

This means you are in one of the moving objects and your are Part of the Motion.
Get the velocity of the objects, make sure you assign the appropriate sign due to direction.  Then you SUBTRACT the values.

Relative Motion Rule:  Outside the Frame of Reference

This means you are an observer of moving objects and your are Outside of the Motion.
Get the velocity of the objects, make sure you assign the appropriate sign due to direction.  Then you ADD the values.
