Angle Pairs
This quizizz will help you navigate relationships between pairs of angles.

2
Adjacent angles
Two angles are adjacent if they lie in the same plane, have a common vertex and a common side, but no common interior points.
3
Multiple Choice
Why do you think
∠ABC and ∠ABD are not adjacent angles? They do not have a common vertex
They do not have a common side
They have common interior points
All of these
4
Multiple Choice
Why do you think
∠DOC and ∠BOA are not adjacent angles? They do not have a common vertex
They do not have a common side
They have common interior points
All of these
5
Linear Pair
Two angles form a linear pair if they are adjacent and their non-common sides are opposite rays.
∠1 and ∠2; ∠3 and ∠4; and ∠5 and ∠6 are all examples of linear pairs
6
Multiple Choice
Why are ∠AOC and ∠BOD not a linear pair?
They do not contain opposite rays.
They are not adjacent.
They are not angles.
They are congruent
7
Vertical Angles
Two non-adjacent angles formed by intersecting lines.
∠ACB and ∠ECD are vertical angles
so are ∠BCE and ∠DCA
8
Multiple Choice
What angle is vertical to ∠AFB?
∠CFD
∠BFC
∠GFA
∠EFD
9
Multiple Choice
What angle is vertical to ∠GFE?
∠CFD
∠BFC
∠GFA
∠EFD
10

Complementary and Supplementary Angles
Complementary angles are 2 angles whose measures have a sum of 90 degrees ex: ∠BXC & ∠CXD
Supplementary angles are 2 angles whose measures have a sum of 180 degrees ex: ∠AXB & ∠BXD
13
Multiple Choice
True or False: Supplementary angles must form a linear pair.
True
False
14
Supplementary Angles
Notice the angles with the p and the q, they are supplementary, but not adjacent.
15
Multiple Choice
What is the measure of ∠EFH? (be careful not x)
m∠EFH =34
m∠EFH =96
m∠EFH =84
m∠EFH =22
16
Multiple Choice
What is the m∠ABC ?
m∠ABC = 36
m∠ABC = 27
m∠ABC = 9
m∠ABC = 18
