  • Gives you more information to define or identify the person or thing we are talking about.

  • They include relative pronouns like, who, whom, which and that.

  • Time: There are occassions when telling the truth may not be a good idea.

  • Location: Toluca is a city where people are rude.

  • Possesion: I have a cell phone whose speaker doesn't work.

  • The dog that is running over there is my pet.
