What are negative numbers?

• Negative numbers are the type of integers, which means it's a whole number.

• Negative numbers uses the symbol (-) before the whole number.

• Negative numbers can be used for the length, temperature, rates, and others.

Negative numbers

When a negative number is formed, we punctuate it as (negative). For example, we punctuate -7 as (negative 7).

Type of integers

• Negative numbers are integers below 0

• Positive numbers are integers above 0

• 0 are neither positive or negative integer. It is placed between the negative and positive integers.

• We can see or count negative and positive numbers by using a number line.
