Adverbs- Overview
An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb but never a noun.
Adverbs often end in -ly, but not always.

Adverbs
Adverbs can modify verbs.
Example- He ran quickly down the street. ("quickly" modifies the verb "ran")
Example- The armadillo is a rather unusual animal. ("rather" modifies the adjective "unusual")
Example- She finished her test too quickly. ("too" modifies the adverb "quickly")

Prepositions
A preposition shows the relationship between a noun or a pronoun and another word in the sentence.
A preposition is always part of a prepositional phrase.
A prepositional phrase = a preposition + a noun or noun phrase.
Example- with my mom, in the morning, by the tree, until tomorrow
with my mom = with (preposition) my mom (noun phrase)
The phrase will always end with a noun.
