The events in the story from the beginning until the end.

Setting

Where and when the story takes place.

Atmosphere

The emotional response the story creates for the reader.

Character

Who is involved in the story.Could be 1st person (using I) or 3rd person (using he-she)

Conflict

The challenges that occur.Is the conflict person vs person, self nature or society?

Theme

Themes are the main idea/message of the story that the author wants you to consider.

Tone

The author's attitude toward the subject of the story.

Foreshadowing

Occurs when the author hints about events that will happen
