Scientific Method

2
Steps 1
The first step is to ask a question about something that hasn't been answered yet. This should be a question that has to be experimented to find the answer.
3
Step 2
Next, you need to create a hypothesis. This is a statement that is based on your question using prior knowledge. The form should be in a if then statement. The two parts of this are the independent and dependent variable. The independent is the factor that is changed while the dependent is the one that is measured.
4
Step 3
Do the experiment is one of the main steps of a Scientific Investigation. This is because it tells you the answer to your question and also proves if your hypothesis is right or wrong.
5
Step 4
You have to analyze the data, this means that you have to put this data into a graph to help everyone understand what the results were.
6
Step 5
You have to write a conclusion, this is the last step of your lab report. This is important because it tells people that did not see the experiment live what happened and what it was about.
