When adding and subtracting negative and positive fractions use these steps!

1.)When you add 2 fractions like this 1/2 + 1/2 they are both positive fractions. When ever you see these two fractions -1/2 + -1/2 they are both negative fractions. when they happens use these two words "Bang Bang" that means when you have 2 negatives you have to make them positive. Some example  will be giving. When multiplying fractions you basically do the same as adding and subtracting them. First, multiply the top row such as 2/4 x 6/4.   STEP 1) 2 x 6=12    


STEP 2) 4 x 4- 16. So you answer would be  12/16 can you reduce that? Yes you can the correct answer would be 3/4
