• It is the process of gathering about a market ,analysing and interpreting it.

• It is used to mean the same thing ,technically ,it refers to research into specific market .

Consume reseach: used to discovered behaviour patterns and cusomer needs .

Motivation research : investigates the psychological reasons about individuals buy specific types of merchandise.

There are two principal methods : DESK RESEARCH OR SECONDARY and FIELD RESEARCH OR PRIMARY .
