Is made up of two differnet number lines. The x-axis which goes left to right(horizontal) and the y-axis which goes up and down(vertical). On both axis's they have a negative and positive side.

Key things to remember about the axis's

• X-AXIS- first number of the two coordinates (X,y). goes left to right

• Y-AXIS- second number in the coordinates (x,Y). goes up and down
