Ordering FDP
We will order fractions, decimals and percents by converting to decimals and comparing them.

2
Convert to decimals
You can convert all the values to decimal form for easy comparing and ordering.
3
Question 1 - write these values in your notebook
4
Values
If we are going to determine the order of the values, we need to convert them into the same form.
5
Fraction to decimal
Let's take the fraction and convert it to a decimal.
6
Percent to decimal
Let's take the percent and convert it to a decimal.
7
Line up Place Values
With all the values now in decimal form, line up the place values. Put a zero as a place holder to make all the values have 2 decimal places.
8
Compare Place Values
Slide over place values until you see different values. The first value we want needs to be the least, so we will choose 18%, which is Pop music.
9
Compare the next Place Value
Since the 4's were the same in the last place value, we need to move over another place value to compare them. Since zero is the least, it will be our next value, which is Country music.
10
Put them in order
We need to list them in order from least to greatest. Let's look at our question again...

Now it is your turn
You will write the values from the problems into your notebook and show your work. You may copy the way they were done here or how ever your teachers wants you to work them.
