What are Factors?

  • Factors are all the numbers that multiply into a given number.

  • For example : all the Factors for 12 are:

  • 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12


  • How did we get those numbers?

  • We found all the numbers that can multiply together to equal 12 and put them in least to greatest order.

  • 1x12, 2x6, 3x4 --> 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
