Conditionals
These sentences express that something can happen ONLY if something else occurs.
We need two elements:
If clause (action clause) + Result clause
If I want to go to the party, I'll have to finish my homework.

1st conditional
The predicting conditional
If + present simple, future tenses
If I study hard, I will successfully pass the quiz next Monday.
If she doesn't arrive on time, her mom is going to be very angry.
We use it to talk about actions in the present with a result in the future.

The impossible conditionl
If + past perfect, would have / could have + past participle

We use it to talk about situations that are impossible to happen because they are in the past (and the past can't be changed!)
