What does cardio do?

  • Improves the efficiency of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels

  • Size of the heart increases, resting heart rate decreases, amount of blood pumped per beat increases

  • Lowers blood sugar and blood pressure, boosts HDL (good cholesterol), and can reduce the protein that contributes to blood clots
