Example 1

let's count how much money we have

Step 1:

Count the hundreds:

One hundred, two hundred, three hundred.....

Step 2

Now put 4 $100 bills on the red line. This is because we counted FOUR hundred.

Step 3

Now we count the tens:

One hundred ten, one hundred twenty....

Step 4

Now write the number of tens we counted on the blue line. We counted one hundred FOURTY so we put FOUR tens.

Step 5

Now we count the one dollar bills:

One hundred fourty ONE, one hundred fourty...

Step 6

Now put the number of one dollar bills on the worksheet:

Now put each number in its correct place
