1
More with New Angles
This lesson expands on the concepts or alternate interior angles, alternate exterior angles, corresponding angles and consecutive interior angles.

2
More complex figures and diagrams
The figure to the right has two sets of intersecting lines.
The two sets of intersecting lines form four intersections.
3
Corresponding Angles
The following are pairs of corresponding angles . These examples only show some of the corresponding angles in the figure.
∠1 and ∠13
∠1 and ∠5
∠16 and ∠4
∠16 and ∠12
4
Alternate Interior Angles
The following are alternate interior angle examples. These examples only show some of the alternate interior angles in the figure.
∠2 and ∠8 These angles are Alt. Int. angles because they are on the interior of lines a and b and are on alternate sides of transversal d.
∠3 and ∠13 These angles are alt/ int. angles because they are in the interior of lines d and c and are on opposite sides of transversal a.
∠5 and ∠15 These angles are NOT alternate interior because they are NOT on the same transversal.
5
Alternate Exterior Angles
The following are alternate exterior angle examples. These examples only show some of the alternate exterior angles in the figure.
∠2 and ∠16 These are alternate exterior angles because they are on the exterior of lines d and c and are on alternate sides of transversal a.
∠6 and ∠12 These alternate exterior angles because they are on the exterior of lines d and c and are on alternate sides of transversal b.
∠6 and ∠16 These angles are not alternate exterior angles because they are not on the same transversal.
6
Consecutive Interior Angles
∠3 and ∠14 These angles are consecutive interior angles. They are on the same side of transversal a and they are on the interior of lines a and b.
∠8 and ∠9 These angles are consecutive interior angles. They are on the same side of transversal b and are in the interior of lines d and c.
7
Multiple Select
