Finding the percents

Review - To find the percent from the part of a histogram

• Find the number of classrooms with 25 or less 12 + 8 + 2 = 22

• Find the total number of classrooms 2 + 8 + 12 + 3 = 25

• Write a fraction comparing the two numbers: 22/25

• Divide to turn the fraction into a decimal: 0.88

• Muliply by 100 to make the decimal a percent: 0.88 x 100 = 88%
