Do What You Know...

We just spent six weeks turning decimals into fractions or percent. We turned fractions into decimals or percent. We've even turned percent into decimals or fractions.

Take your list of numbers and turn them all into the same format, compare them, and put them in order.

I highly recommend doing this on paper!

Compare Numbers

The whole numbers are all 2. That's no help, go to the tenths place.

I see two three's, a four and a five. The two three's finish first and second, but the four finishes third, which is what I am looking for.

The answer would be Latasha.

Decimals?

Decimal format seems to be the easiest way to compare numbers.

 68%=0.6868\%=0.68
 173=5.6-\frac{17}{3}=-5.\overline{6}

The two negatives are the smallest.
Answer:
 6.42, 0.68, 173, 6.76.42,\ 0.68,\ -\frac{17}{3},\ -6.7
