Ticker symbols make it easier to locate company information because they are unique and short.

A ticker symbol, also known as a stock symbol, is a unique group of letters that identifies a company's stock.

You must know the ticker symbol of a company's stock in order to purchase it.

Company

Subsidiary

A company that is owned by another company or corporation, called the parent company.
