This grammar function describes those things that happened in the past as REGULAR HABITS, REGULAR ACTIONS or STATES that are now finished.

Example:

I used to live in Monterrey. Now I live in Ecatepec.

REMEMBER: You can't find USED TO in the present or future forms.
