A reflexive pronoun shows that the subject does the action and the subject is the same person who receives it.

for example:

Miriam loves herself.

In the previous example,"Miriam" is the subject. She does the action. But... who receives the action?

Exactly. Miriam.

The reflexive pronouns are:

• Myself

• yourself

• Himself

• Itself

• ourselves

• themselves

• yourselves

In contrast to the object pronouns, where the subject and the receiver of the action are different, the reflexive pronouns show that the subject and the receiver of the action are the same.
