Comparative forms

We use comparative forms to make contrasts between two objects, animals or people.

EXAMPLE:

Turtles are bigger than fish

Comparative forms

To make comparisons you need to use adjectives (characteristics or descriptors). There are short and long adjectives.

EXAMPLES:

Short Adjectives: Fast, happy.

Long Adjectives: Careful, Patient.

Today we are going to compare with SHORT ADJECTIVES

Subject A + am / is / are + adjective (-er) + than + Subject B

EXAMPLE:

A seahorse is faster than a starfish.
